Jeremy Bond | Chief Investment Officer

Mr Bond previously worked as an analyst at RAB Special Situations Fund at RAB Capital Plc. The RAB Special Situations Fund had an investment bias towards natural resources and was previously rated the Best Energy and Natural Resources Fund by Hedge Fund Review in 2007 and ranked No 1 in Barron’s Hedge Fund 50 Global rankings in 2007

Prior to joining RAB in 2007, Mr Bond was an Associate at Azure Capital, a boutique investment bank based out of Perth, WA. Here he worked on numerous merger and acquisitions, as well as being involved in a number of capital raisings in the small cap sector.

Mr Bond also sits on the Board of several listed ASX companies.

Jeremy Bond is the largest investor in each Fund.

Matthew Langsford | Portfolio Manager/Analyst

Matthew has over 8 years of experience across funds management, financial markets and industry.

Mr Langsford has worked at the Terra Capital Natural Resources Fund for the last 3 years, a period which has seen the fund significantly outperform its peers and increase assets under management.

Mr Langsford is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has worked previously in corporate finance at Ernst and Young and in institutional and high net worth broking, specialising in small caps.

 

Will Thompson | Analyst

After graduating university with Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting, Finance and Financial Planning) Will commenced his working life in Melbourne before moving to Sydney in 2016 to join Terra Capital.

Will has a passion for analysing emerging companies and is currently completing his CFA.

 

Chris Baker | Advisor – Natural Resource Fund

Chris began his professional career as a research officer with BHP. He gained a Ph.D. before becoming a geologist with Layton and Associates and Exploration Manager with Costain Australia. In total, Chris has had some 10 years experience in the mining industry, with a focus on the coal and gold industries. He moved to BZW Australia in 1989 as a Mining Analyst. In 1995 he took the position of Gold Analyst with Potter Warburg (later UBS Australia) and in 1999 became Head of the Resources group.

He was rated top analyst covering the Australian gold sector for five years. Chris spent 10 years with Colonial First State, starting in 2001 as Senior Analyst and then Senior Portfolio Manager with the Global Resources Team. In 2011 he assisted with the development of a global resources investment product with the Caledonia group.

In 2015 he ceased full time employment, and now provides corporate advisory services to a limited number of mining industry clients and institutional investors on a part time basis. In total, Chris has 27 years experience as an analyst and fund manager in the global resources sector.

 

Brad Rosser | Advisor – New Horizons Fund

After gaining a first class honours degree in Commerce from UWA with a Hackett Scholarship and then an MBA from Cornell University with distinction where he was also the Marshall of the program. Brad joined the London office of McKinsey & Co., before becoming a part of the inner sanctum at Virgin as Head of Corporate Development for the Virgin Group, effectively Sir Richard Branson’s right-hand man for all new start-ups. This was a pivotal time for Virgin as it embarked on an aggressive campaign to enter new industries. Brad oversaw the launch of Virgin Active, Virgin Money, and Virgin Vie, amongst others.

On leaving Virgin, Brad’s first project was helping Unilever to set up Unilever Ventures, Unilever’s incubation arm in the UK. The first of it’s kind in the UK. Brad then became one of the founding partners of a property investment services start-up that sourced UK and international property for UK investors. Started with an initial investment of $50k, within 4 years the business was selling $1.8 billion of property per year, generating profits in excess of $50 million, had 400+ staff, and had offices in the UK, USA, Spain and Hong Kong. The company was the fastest growing company in the UK for 3 years in a row.

Since then, Brad has become a successful serial entrepreneur with interests in online cashback, customer loyalty programmes, health and fitness, and online financial services. Brad is also the Co-Founder of The BSF Group.
